The success of our fire team is a reflection of your dedication, involvement and support. We appreciate your recent contributions of time, goods, and enthusiasm.
Behind the scenes, support staff have been busy providing large hot meals, refreshments, and medical services. The Team is well-equipped to handle the challenges that this fire may bring.
Many people have expressed an interest in making a gift or donation to honor the work of the firefighters. The following items are not “needs”, but if community members would like to make a gift or donation, the following items are welcome:
Socks (mid-calf or longer)
Toiletries: bars of soap, liquid soap, small shampoos, deodorant, Chapstick, toothbrushes, small toothpaste tubes, foot powder, lotions, etc.
Snack foods: Wrapped granola bars, jerky, individual packs of chips, small packets of cookies, candy bars, candy, etc.
The following items are already provided or cannot be accepteddue to safety considerations:
Cooked or prepared foods, perishable items (fruits with skin intact are acceptable)
Donations may be dropped off at the Rural Metro Fire Station on Monument Drive. They will gather the donations and deliver them to the fire camp. You are welcome to leave a note with your donation, along with your name and address so that we may express our appreciation!
Financial donations (not food, clothing, toiletries, etc.) are also gladly accepted by the American Red Cross. The Southern Oregon Chapter is one of five chapters serving Curry, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Lake Counties.
